James is a dedicated advocate and legal adviser, practicing commercial litigation, employment, workplace and regulatory law.
James has broad commercial and employment litigation experience, including in breach of contract, commercial leasing, wrongful termination, breach of trust, real property, defamation, human rights and regulatory matters. He has also acted on contract and settlement negotiations, business transactions and workplace investigations.
James has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal, Divisional Court and Superior Court. He has also represented clients before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board and other tribunals.
James graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 2014 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. Prior to law school, James worked for the Ontario Public Service, holding a variety of policy, administrative and research positions with the Aboriginal Education Office (Ministries of Education and Training, Colleges and Universities) and Accessibility Directorate of Ontario (Ministry of Community and Social Services).
